Duties This Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT) position is located within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Technology Solutions Division, Systems Management & Operations Branch, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security. If selected for this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Secure Flight system data. Typical assignments include but are not limited to: Receiving, inspecting, validating, transforming, cleansing, and loading data received in a variety of formats (e.g., Excel, CVS, XML) from a variety of sources (e.g., air carriers, TSC, federal organizations). Identifying erroneous or anomalous data and taking action to correct or remove errors and anomalies in order to restore data sets to working and reliable levels. Supporting the Secure Flight Development team by assisting with data modeling, performance tuning, and troubleshooting data issues. Providing support to the Secure Flight O&M team by assisting with troubleshooting problems and fulfilling data requests. Capturing and reporting on all data management activities. Tracking data-related issues, problems, and performance metrics for historical reporting purposes. The major duties described above reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, the lower pay band (H Band) performs the same duties but will receive more guidance and training; and/or projects/work assignments may be less complex. Travel Required Occasional Travel Approximately 4 weeks annually. Relocation Authorized No Job Requirements Key Requirements You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National. You must complete a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
