The Marketing and Membership Coordinator at the Museum participates in the development and production of copy and content appearing on the website, print, digital and broadcast media used for editorial and marketing purposes. The position develops and executes activities designed to attain and retain membership and is also responsible for maintaining the membership and donor database.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Journalism, Communications or Marketing and three (3) years of experience in marketing and or membership management at a cultural institution or in a museum environment Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Knowledge of techniques to build audiences and attract members Strong writing ability in a variety of media designed to reach varying audiences, spanning such distinct platforms as print publications, broadcast copy, e-blasts and other digital marketing and web content Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to keep a project moving forward from conceptualization and copy drafting through numerous revisions and approvals while meeting tight deadlines
